At last we have the Big 10 official entries all uploaded and ready to be downloaded, streamed and voted on by you, the public, the ruff riders, the family and friends. Make sure you get to peep all 10 before voting below to keep it thorough and fair. Deadline for the last vote is September 10, 2007 so get crackin' and all caught up in our sound of our home team family of record labels and artists on N2O, Freeburning, Big Cat Japan, Ridem, Good Fortune, Evil Teens, and Dub Fi Dub. Big up all the participants and DJ's entered (DJ Shelter, Gobe, L3, Sooz, Whyno, Ddub, Diamond Geezer, Shuga, Shrapnel, & Big Ears), the mixes are numbered One through Ten to keep it all fair and level playing fields. Each mix contains 30 minutes of all-vinyl, all-N2O Records and family of labels' tracks, you decide which Top 3 mixes you like best, use your own judging criteria. ハリウッド中心地に位置し、古着屋、セレクトショップなどが多数存在する観光名所Melrose Avenue.この通り沿いにFree Burningというレコード屋がある。ある、と言っても通り沿いに面してるわけじゃなく、普通に歩いただけじゃ見逃してしまう何の変哲もない建物の二階にある小さなレコ屋だ。このレコ屋はあのスリップノットのdj#0シド＝dj STARSCREAMで有名なレーベルN2O　NITROUS OXIDE ENTERTAINMENTの直通卸店。日本ではまだまだレアなN2Oの作品が多数置かれている。STARSCREAMのツアー等により以前より日本での認知度は高まったもののまだまだロックファンのN2Oに対する注目度は低いだろう。ブレイクコアやジャングルも聞く自分にとってこのレーベル、個人的に熱い。

レーベルには現在Hed(p.e.)、スキンドレッド、インキュバスのdj キルモア、リンキンパークのdj ハーンなどロック界からの名手も正式に所属している。なかでも最近Hed(p.e.)のdj プロダクトはSTARSCREAMとともにN2OのA&Rを引き受けるという入れ込みようだ。当然リンキンパーク、インキュバス、Hed (p.e.),スキンドレッドのN2Oリミックスも発売されたが、ロック系MASH-UPからの最新作はなんとシステムオブアダウン、マーズボルタ、パパローチという異色系がドロップされた。しかもコレがN2Oの音と不思議とはまる。自らを変態レーベルと呼ぶ彼らですが音はマジで格好いいんです。写真の店長のネイト(すっげーいい人)は少し日本語も話せるのでロスに行ったらぜひFree BurningによってN2Oをチェックしてください。入り口のベルを押して日本からレコード買いに来たぞと言えば『クツトッテクダサ〜イ』と返事が返ってきます。(店内土足厳禁)STARSCREAMもよく来るので運がよければ会えるかも知れませんよ。僕が行ったこの日も夜来るとのことでした。

~余談~

次のMASH-UP最新作はトランスプランツだそうです！こっそり聞いて大胆にここで暴露します。あとこのMelrose ave.にはリンキンパークのdj ハーンが経営してる服屋もあります。彼もたまに店にいます。たまに洋楽の日本盤解説を書いている有名なスケボーショップ、ブルックリンプロジェクトの隣にあります。
